Watermelon is a fantastic fruit to serve to kids during warm weather. It contains over 90% water, making it really hydrating as well as being a great source of Vitamins A and C and many nutrients and antioxidants.
We used the juice of two lemons in my recipe but if you think that this might be too tart for your kids start with just one lemon and you can always add more.
We used fresh watermelon when making this lemonade but you can also use frozen watermelon along with a handful of ice which will make a more slushy-like drink instead!
