EXPERT TIPS
If your popsicle molds don’t include a stick rack you can also use wooden sticks. Freeze for one hour and a half and then take them out of the freezer and stick wooden popsicle sticks in the watermelon popsicle. Put back the mold in the freezer and wait until the watermelon popsicle is completely frozen.
To release the popsicles from their molds, dip the bottoms into a bowl of warm water first to loosen their hold. Avoid using hot water as that may cause the popsicles to melt.
Step 1: Cube the melon and blend it in a high-powered blender or a food processor. Step 2: Transfer the watermelon juice and puree mixture to the molds, leaving about an inch of space for the other layers, and freeze for 3 hours. Step 3: Add a thin layer of coconut yogurt over the watermelon puree and put back the mold in the freezer and let it freeze for an hour and a half. Step 4: Peel and cut the kiwi in cubes and blend it in a blender or a food processor. Step 5: Take the popsicles out of the freezer and add the last layer over the coconut yogurt layer and put the molds back in the freezer and let it freeze for at least one hour and a half or until completely frozen. Final Step: Your watermelon popsicles are ready when they are completely frozen! Enjoy!
What type of molds do you use for Homemade Watermelon Popsicles? It’s best to use BPA-Free Popsicle molds for this recipe. Can you use frozen watermelon? Although frozen watermelon may not taste so great to eat after it has thawed, using it for a recipe like this one works pretty well. Once it has been blending into a puree it is almost the same as using fresh watermelon.
